Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close activities, including downloading and validating bank statements and preparing accruals.
  • Reconcile exchange-related accruals and maintain daily exchange reporting files.
  • Update and track Payment for Order Flow (PFOF) accruals and related accounting records.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting activities.
  • Reconcile billing system data to exchange invoices and fee schedules.
  • Perform daily, monthly, and ad hoc reconciliations of exchange and trading-related activity.
  • Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies across multiple counterparties and data sources.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records through detailed account analysis.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, actual expenses, connectivity fees, exchange charges, and other operating expenses.
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Support ERP uploads and accounting system maintenance, including PeopleSoft-related processes.
  • Generate, refresh, and distribute recurring financial and operational reports, including P&L reporting, billing reports, and client-related reporting packages.
  • Maintain billing system rules and fee schedules to ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Support ongoing accounting operations, including wire reconciliations, exception reporting, and exchange fee updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

Accountant - Financial Services

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join a dynamic financial services organization. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting activities related to exchange fees, options trading, and billing operations.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation, experience within financial services, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
  • Support month-end close activities, including downloading and validating bank statements and preparing accruals.
  • Reconcile exchange-related accruals and maintain daily exchange reporting files.
  • Update and track Payment for Order Flow (PFOF) accruals and related accounting records.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting activities.
Reconciliations & Analysis
