Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or CPA recommended.
  • CPA with 2+ years accounting services experience preferred.
  • CPA with 4+ years accounting services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements/reports and improving internal controls.
  • Ensuring integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions.
  • Preparing asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries and analyzing account information.
  • Overseeing expense vouchers, invoices, requisitions, reimbursements, reconciliations, and budgets in line with policies.
  • Determining GAAP-compliant handling of financial transactions and approving within limits.
  • Preparing budget and department reports or ad hoc analyses.
  • Identifying risks and areas for improvement to prevent errors.
  • Reviewing and correcting errors in financial entries and reports.
  • Maintaining communication with central departments on accounting information.
  • Assisting faculty with post-award financial analysis related to contracts or grants.
