Job summary

Foreign Resource Development Associated in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced accountant to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. The role will serve as the Costpoint and Concur point of contact and will lead the AP, AR, and payroll processes.

This hybrid position is based in Arlington, VA and requires onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration; 4+ years of professional experience may be substituted.
• At least three years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint.
• Proficiency in Concur.
• Experience with Paylocity.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Understanding of indirect rate buildup, GAAP, FAR, CAS.

Responsibilities

• Manage AP and AR processes.
• Ensure all transactions are entered, supported, and approved.
• Process payroll timesheets and labor entries.
• Maintain accruals, prepaids, fixed assets; monthly depreciation.
• Reconcile credit card statements.
• Balance subsidiary accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist month-end close with adjusting and recurring journal entries.
• Assist financial statement preparation.
• Set up chart of accounts and project codes in Costpoint.
• Maintain vendor master file and bank details.
• Assist with bank payments and project billing.
• Assist with monthly bank reporting.
• Respond to vendor and employee inquiries.
• Participate in accounting process automation.
• Analyze financial information.
• Assist with 1099/vendor filing.
• Assist with audits.
