Job summary

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. in Vienna, VA seeks a Staff Accountant to support our defense and security programs. The role combines cost accounting, revenue cycle oversight, and month-end close work in a hybrid environment after onboarding.

You will leverage Costpoint and Excel to manage project billings, journal entries, and rate analyses, ensuring compliance with FAR/CAS and USG contract types. Strong accuracy and communication with project teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2 to 4 years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of USG contract accounting principles, FAR/CAS, CPFF, T&M, FFP, and indirect rate structures.
• Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable and revenue cycle, including project-based billings and collections.
• Own month-end close reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Perform labor/indirect rate analyses and ensure compliance within Costpoint and Excel.
