Sudbay Automotive Group in Gloucester, MA is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our dealership finance team. You will process vehicle sales deals, reconcile invoices, manage schedules, and assist with monthly financial statements.

The role requires 2+ years in dealership accounting, formal accounting education, and proficiency with DMS systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK Global, or Dealertrack. Strong Excel and accuracy with month-end deadlines are essential.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of accounting experience in a dealership or automotive retail environment preferred.
• Formal education in Accounting or equivalent working experience.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK Global, or Dealertrack.
• Strong Excel skills and a sharp eye for variance detection.
• Ability to meet strict end-of-month deadlines in a professional environment.

Aufgaben

• Process vehicle sales deals, verify cost of sales, and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconcile factory invoices, floor plan statements, bank accounts, and manufacturer rebate schedules.
• Maintain and clean up core dealership accounting schedules (A/R, A/P, and vehicle inventory).
• Assist the Controller in preparing monthly financial statements and manufacturer-specific reports.
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns and assist with end-of-year audit preparations.

What You’ll Do

• Dealership Accounting: Process vehicle sales deals, verify cost of sales, and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile factory invoices, floor plan statements, bank accounts, and manufacturer rebate schedules.
• Schedules Management: Maintain and clean up core dealership accounting schedules (accounts receivable, accounts payable, and vehicle inventory).
• Financial Reporting: Assist the Controller in preparing monthly financial statements and manufacturer-specific financial reports.
• Compliance & Tax: Prepare monthly sales tax returns and assist with end-of-year audit preparations.

What You’ll Need

• Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience (dealership or automotive retail environment highly preferred).
• Education: Formal education in Accounting or equivalent working experience.
• Systems: Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) like Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK Global, or Dealertrack is a major plus.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills and a sharp eye for variance detection.
