In this job, you’ll assist the non-energy accounting team in performing accounting reconciliation and third-party invoicing. **Responsibilities**
+ Provides assistance across all facets of the month end close, such as subsidiary consolidation, intercompany account reconciliations and foreign currency conversions
+ Helps determine the budget and provides assistance in preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
+ Resolves discrepancies on a weekly/ bi-weekly basis to ensure data recorded accurately
+ Assists in month-end and year-end close procedures including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
+ Shares financial status information by assisting in the preparation of special reports
+ Coordinates with external/internal auditors and other departments
+ Maintains accuracy of vendor invoicing, inventory product pricing and counts
+ Coordinates various financial reports in accordance with established requirements, meeting the due dates and deadlines
+ Helps compile necessary financial statement information as requested by senior management relating to the preparation of monthly reports
+ Provides support in maintaining an accurate and precise Sox and internal audit environment
+ A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Experience in accounting, finance, economics, or business analysis.
+ Experience with interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
+ Knowledge of utilities or regulated industries and companies
**Additional Information**
+ This position’s work mode is **hybrid.** The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
