Cable One is seeking an accounting professional to manage lease accounting, maintaining ASC 842 schedules and developing a detailed understanding of end-to-end processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls that support reporting.

You will prepare analyses and journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate from listed states.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; one year of general ledger accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls.
• Proactively prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by leadership.
• Keeps up-to-date with FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.

What you will do to contribute to the company's success

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of lease accounting, including related stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls that support internal and external reporting.
• Proactively works on preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support of lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts; Investigates and resolves variances on a timely basis.
• Supports assigned internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Proactively seeks to keep abreast of accounting, reporting and disclosure standards promulgated by the FASB, SEC and PCAOB that affect internal accounting and reporting practices. Provides sound analysis and supports the impact of changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university focusing in Accounting, or Financial Accounting; and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment.

• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred
