Job summary

Cable One is seeking a dedicated accounting professional to oversee lease accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting. You will support SOX controls and assist with audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the lease lifecycle.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting and experience with ASC 842 lease accounting. The role offers remote flexibility within the U.S. and a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

What you will do to contribute to the company's success

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of lease accounting, including related stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls that support internal and external reporting.
• Proactively works on preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support of lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts; Investigates and resolves variances on a timely basis.
• Supports assigned internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Proactively seeks to keep abreast of accounting, reporting and disclosure standards promulgated by the FASB, SEC and PCAOB that affect internal accounting and reporting practices. Provides sound analysis and supports the impact of changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university focusing in Accounting, or Financial Accounting; and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment.

• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred
