Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year as Accountant 1 or 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Four years of bookkeeping with 15 accounting credits; Master’s can substitute for one year.
• Residency requirements and essential job functions compliance.

Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis: Review expenditure reports, evaluate allocations, and examine regulations to determine financial impacts.
• Payment Processing: Compute payment amounts, post entries in SAP software, and resolve issues related to grant payments.
• Report Development: Create financial reporting forms, instructions, and account structures to support program needs.
• Quality Assurance: Perform checks for completeness, accuracy, and consistency across county financial submissions.
• Data Management: Assemble fiscal and statistical data to prepare reports, maintain databases, and support informational requests.
• Technical Assistance: Provide guidance to department, county, and provider officials on financial regulations and procedures.
