Job summary

HealthChoices BHSSBC is seeking an Accountant to oversee daily financial operations and reporting for the HealthChoices program in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and regulatory submissions, with emphasis on rate setting and reinvestment calculations.

Reporting to the Executive Director and CFO, the position supports leadership and external partners, requiring strong communication and analytical skills and proficiency with Windows-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting.
• One year of professional accounting experience or five years of bookkeeping with 15 accounting credits.
• One year of experience in a managed care environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical, problem solving and budgetary skills.
• Ability to work with BHSSBC Executive Management Team, Board of Directors, auditors and external partners.
• Proficiency with Windows PC environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations and reporting for the HealthChoices program.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Validate complex program requirements like rate setting and reinvestment calculations.
• Serve as primary financial liaison for leadership, Board of Directors, and external partners.
