Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and ledgers/cash flows.
• Exposure to project costing, recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and data entry support to meet contractual requirements for operational and basic accounting.
• Processes all accounts payable and accounts received promptly and accurately.
• Provides project teams with ad hoc reports and analysis as needed.
• Assists with assembling information for internal and external financial reporting.
• Assembles client billings packages per contract terms and ensures timely payment.
• Prepares bank deposits and cash receipt entries.

• Exposure to project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements as related to accounting
• Exposure to subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance requirements.
• Basic understanding of lien rights.
• Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is an asset.
