Job summary

HaFSBX in Minnesota designs and manufactures custom material handling systems and seeks an Accountant with broad exposure to the full accounting function and growth potential.

You’ll work across month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, AR, AP, expense management, and process improvements while collaborating with teams across the business. This role offers an opportunity to develop and assume more responsibility over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, with reconciliations, AR, AP or close exposure.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Excel; experience in ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payments, aging and collections.
• Assist with Accounts Payable: invoice processing, coding, approvals and payments.
• Manage and reconcile company credit card activity and employee expenses.
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements and automation.
• Collaborate with teams to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with sales tax and other accounting projects as needed.
• Take on additional responsibilities as experience grows.

At HaFSBX, we design and manufacture custom material handling systems for industries ranging from food processing to pharmaceuticals. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a Accountant who wants broad exposure to the accounting function and the opportunity to grow alongside the company.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for an early-career accountant looking to expand their experience beyond one specific area of accounting.

As a Accountant, you’ll work across month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, AR, AP, expense management, and process improvement. You’ll also work closely with teams throughout the business, giving you exposure to how Accounting supports a growing manufacturing company.

What You'll Do

• Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payment application, aging reports, and collections follow-up
• Assist with Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment preparation
• Manage and reconcile company credit card activity and employee expenses
• Help identify and implement accounting process improvements and automation
• Partner with teams across the company to research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Assist with sales tax and other accounting projects as needed
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as your experience in the role grows

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent relevant accounting experience
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to reconciliations, AR, AP, or month-end close
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with accounting/ERP systems
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, QuickBooks, or similar systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Sales tax experience is a plus, but not required
