Job summary

Turn2Partners in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Construction Accountant with 3+ years of accounting experience to manage job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition. You will prepare billings, process payables/receivables, and collaborate with project managers on cost reporting and change orders.

The role requires detail orientation and strong coordination with field personnel to ensure accurate budgets and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in construction.
• Understanding of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Experience with construction accounting software (Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, or similar).
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with field and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain job cost records and track project budgets vs. actuals
• Prepare progress billings (AIA G702/G703) and manage retainage
• Process AP/AR, including subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, and certificates of insurance
• Prepare WIP schedules and assist with percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close
• Assist with audits, sales/use tax, and other compliance filings
• Partner with project managers on cost reporting and change orders
