PharmPix Corp is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team in Puerto Rico. This role supports day-to-day accounting, including AR/AP, payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities include invoicing, collections, cash applications, vendor management, and generating reports for management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute invoices, credits, and billing documents.
  • Manage accounts receivable, collections, and cash receipt applications.
  • Generate aging reports, customer statements, and billing reports.
  • Process accounts payable invoices, verify documentation, and obtain approvals.
  • Assist with payment processing and vendor account management.
  • Analyze expense accounts and accounts payable balances.
  • Prepare vendor reports, supplier aging reports, and related analyses.
  • Prepare informational returns (Forms 480 and 1099) and support tax filings.
  • Review employee time and payroll records and adjustments.
  • Process payroll and payroll tax reporting.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and GL analyses.
  • Investigate accounting discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for management.
  • Maintain accounting controls and GAAP compliance.
  • Support continuous process improvement and teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute customer invoices, credit memos, and billing documentation.
  • Manage accounts receivable activities, collections, and cash receipt applications.
  • Generate and maintain aging reports, customer statements, and billing reports.
  • Process accounts payable invoices, verify supporting documentation, and ensure proper approvals.
  • Assist with payment processing and vendor account management.
  • Analyze expense accounts and accounts payable balances.
  • Prepare vendor reports, supplier aging reports, and related analyses.
  • Prepare and submit informational returns, including Forms 480 and 1099, and support related tax filings and payments.
  • Review employee time and attendance records, expense reports, and payroll adjustments.
  • Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate payroll tax reporting and payments.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger analyses.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies by analyzing financial data.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for management.
  • Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Support compliance with GAAP, federal regulations, and applicable state requirements.
  • Contribute to departmental and organizational goals through collaboration and continuous process improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred
  • Three (3) years of accounting experience.
  • Candidate for CPA or CMA certification.
  • Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Experience preparing tax-related reports and filings.
