Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, 2+ years of experience, proficiency in QuickBooks/Sage and Excel, and strong GAAP knowledge. CPA is a plus in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar software and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• CPA certification or active pursuit is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, and GL entries.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts regularly.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and tax regulation adherence.
• Support audits with documentation and inquiries.
• Process payroll and maintain employee financial records.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Process payroll and maintain accurate employee financial records

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
