LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing East Bay organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join its collaborative accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who has completed at least two audit busy seasons in public accounting and is looking to apply their technical foundation in a dynamic industry environment where they can make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
Analyze financial data and investigate account variances
Support financial reporting and financial statement preparation
Coordinate audit requests and collaborate with external auditors
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal control requirements
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance efficiencies
Participate in system enhancements, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with business partners across departments to support operational and financial objectives
Assist with special projects, reporting initiatives, and ad hoc analysis
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of two audit busy seasons in public accounting
Experience with a regional or national CPA firm preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Experience preparing workpapers, reconciliations, and audit support schedules
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and data analysis
CPA eligible, actively pursuing CPA, or CPA preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Self-motivated with a desire to learn, grow, and contribute new ideas
Preferred Background
Public accounting experience with a regional or national CPA firm. Two years minimum.
Experience working with manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, inventory-intensive companies, or other product-based organizations
BA/BS in Accounting, Economics or Finance
Experience supporting privately held, middle-market, or growth-oriented organizations
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000 - $97,000 annually
