Job summary

Socket.dev in Center Square, PA is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to manage day-to-day accounting while supporting basic HR tasks in a hospitality-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, strong AP/AR skills, experience with Sage or similar ERP, and advanced Excel abilities; you will assist with payroll, HR records, and compliance to keep financial operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, hotel, or restaurant operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience with accounting software (Sage, or similar ERP systems).
  • Familiarity with payroll and HR processes is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Work closely with management to monitor budgets and control expenses.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and new hire paperwork.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Support payroll preparation by verifying employee hours and documentation.
  • Help administer employee benefits and respond to general HR inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting
