Job Summary

A part-time Accountant opportunity is available with a government agency in Calabasas, CA. The Accountant will support the accounting team with key financial operations, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, year-end account review, financial statement preparation, payroll, grant spending oversight, and audit support. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Perform year-end account reviews and assist with financial close processes.
• Prepare financial statements and support accurate financial reporting.
• Process payroll and assist with related accounting functions.
• Monitor grant spending to help ensure compliance with grant requirements.
• Assist outside auditors by preparing schedules, documentation, and account support.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $36.00 to $45.00 per hour.
• Job type: Temp-to-hire.
• Schedule: Part-time, 2 days per week.
• Preferred schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Location: Calabasas, CA.
