Key Responsibilities for the Accountant:
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, payroll entries, and general ledger transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and support monthly and year-end close processes.
- Assist with financial reporting, audit schedules, tax filings, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accounting records and reconciliations for affiliated entities and impact investing activities.
- Calculate management fees, interest income, and investment-related accounting adjustments.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support accounting automation initiatives.
Qualifications for the Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting preferred.
- Understanding of fund, investment, consolidation, or corporate accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
