Job description

T he Account Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily janitorial operations at assigned customer locations to ensure high levels of service quality, customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and employee performance. This role serves as the primary on-site contact for clients and provides direct supervision of janitorial staff while supporting operational and financial objectives.

Pay: $____ per hour.

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

401(k) - You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Client Relations

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client locations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through regular communication and site visits.
• Respond promptly to customer requests, concerns, and service issues.
• Conduct routine inspections with clients to ensure satisfaction and contract compliance.
• Support customer retention through consistent service excellence.

Operations Management

• Supervise day-to-day janitorial operations and ensure services are delivered according to contract specifications.
• Conduct regular quality assurance inspections and audits.
• Monitor work performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate schedules, projects, and special cleaning requests.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage for all assigned shifts and locations.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, train, coach, and develop janitorial team members.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee training.
• Monitor attendance, performance, and productivity.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Promote employee engagement, teamwork, and accountability.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
• Conduct safety meetings and job-site inspections.
• Investigate workplace incidents and complete required reporting.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain staffing schedules and timekeeping records.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Submit operational reports and documentation as required.
• Assist management with labor budgeting and cost control efforts.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance documentation.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or additional management training preferred.

Experience

• 2-5 years of janitorial, facilities, or environmental services experience.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience working in commercial, industrial, airport, healthcare, or educational environments is a plus.
