Job summary

Veros Credit is seeking an Account Servicing Specialist (Impounds) to service auto loan accounts in an in-office role across Santa Ana, CA; Ontario, CA; and Fort Worth, TX, with remote options for AZ and NV.

The role requires 3+ years in collections, bilingual English/Spanish, and strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. FDCPA compliance and repayment planning are key aspects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in collections, preferably in subprime consumer lending.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers to obtain a commitment for payment and/or reinstatement of accounts, including suggesting payment methods and procedures.
• Review accounts for special assistance (loan modifications, extensions, etc.) and gather necessary information to provide assistance.
• Initiate and review repossession efforts to recover collateral.
• Document account information and collection activities accurately and professionally.
• Conduct investigative activities to locate customers via database searches and system records (Skip-Tracing).
• Perform outbound and inbound calls through auto-dialing or manual systems.
• Maintain satisfactory work on an assigned queue and meet/exceed daily and monthly goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
