The Account Service Coordinator serves as the central point of coordination between customers and internal teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of customer orders, from initial intake through production and final delivery, while ensuring alignment among engineering, production, quality, and supply chain functions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple functions to keep customer orders and projects on track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary interface between customers and internal teams to ensure clear communication and timely execution of orders
- Manage order flow from receipt through production and final delivery, ensuring customer requirements are met
- Coordinate cross-functional activities across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain functions
- Review and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical specifications to support accurate order execution
- Track order progress, identify risks, and drive resolution to maintain schedule, quality, efficiency, and customer commitments within the production value stream
- Maintain accurate documentation, status updates, and reporting for internal and customer visibility, while supporting Key Account Management and Program Management teams as accounts transition into recurring business
Examples of activities:
- Receive and review customer orders to confirm specifications, quantities, delivery requirements, and required documentation
- Review basic engineering drawings and technical specifications with engineering and other internal teams to clarify order requirements
- Coordinate production schedules, material availability, quality requirements, and delivery dates with production, quality, and supply chain teams
- Monitor order progress and follow up on engineering questions, material shortages, production delays, quality concerns, or other risks affecting delivery commitments
- Prepare and maintain order trackers, production status updates, customer communications, and reports for internal and customer visibility
- Support Key Account Management and Program Management teams with recurring customer orders, account transitions, and production value-stream activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for tracking, reporting, and status updates
- Experience supporting recurring customer accounts, key accounts, or long-term programs preferred
- Familiarity with production processes, scheduling, and value-stream concepts preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer-facing and internal collaboration
- Basic ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation is a plus
