Job summary

GEODIS in Atlanta seeks a Logistics Coordinator to coordinate and execute shipments, ensuring high service levels. You will manage communications with customers, carriers, overseas agents, and vendors to keep deliveries on track.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years in goods import, ocean freight knowledge, and familiarity with government agency requirements. You should be able to lift up to 25 pounds and contribute to pricing and invoicing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in importation of goods.
• Knowledge of ocean freight movement and Government Agency requirements.

Your role on the team:

• Coordinating and executing shipments to ensure excellent customer service levels

• Handles accounting processes; including price negotiations, on-time billing, zero demurrage mindset, rate calculations, price conversions, profitand loss analysis

What you need:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the importation of goods or an equivalent combination of both education and experience
• Knowledge of the movement of freight via ocean
• Knowledge of Government Agency requirements
• Ability to occasionally life and/or move up to 25 pounds
