Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking to fill a field-facing role in Plano, TX. You will check in vehicles, enter data into AS400, and apply accurate labeling and routing for incoming units.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field, or an equivalent combination.
• Alternative: any level degree/certification beyond HS in a related discipline.
• OR 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Check in vehicles and input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 system using a handheld device.
• Affix barcode/stock number stickers on vehicles as they are received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles at entry.
• Direct transporters to the correct car drop zone and park vehicles in designated run numbers.
• Maintain proactive client engagement, providing tailored recommendations and industry insights to support satisfaction and partnerships.

Qualifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
• OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline;
• OR 5 years' experience in a related field
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.

Preferred

• Prior experience vehicle reconditioning and or general auto body knowledge
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written skills preferred.
• Ability to operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmission is preferred.

Work Environment

• Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level. 85% outdoors / 15% indoors (admin duties)

USD 20.10 - 30.10 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.10 - $30.10/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
