Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented vehicle intake associate in Plano, TX to check in vehicles, document accurate information, and label and route arrivals. You will ensure proper vehicle placement and support a strong client relationship through proactive service.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field, a valid driver's license, and the ability to multitask. Prior auto industry knowledge is a plus; onsite work in outdoor conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• Alternative: any higher degree or certification in a related discipline would be acceptable.
• Driver's license required; safe driving record preferred.
• 5 years related field experience also considered.

• Check in vehicles and input accurate information into AS400 using Portable Terminal.
• Affix barcode/stock number stickers on each vehicle.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles.
• Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone and park vehicles in assigned run numbers.

Job description

• Checking in vehicles and input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer (Portable Terminal - PT)
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone.
• Park vehicles to designated run number
• Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with clients through proactive engagement, personalized communication, and tailored solutions to meet their needs. Utilize industry insights and product knowledge to provide valuable guidance and recommendations, demonstrating a commitment to client satisfaction and long-term partnership

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
• OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline;
• OR 5 years' experience in a related field
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.

Preferred:

• Prior experience vehicle reconditioning and or general auto body knowledge
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written skills preferred.
• Ability to operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmission is preferred.

Work Environment:

• Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level. 85% outdoors / 15% indoors (admin duties)

USD 20.10 - 30.10 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.10 - $30.10/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
