Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented operations professional to support Merrill Wealth Management brokerage accounts. You will handle account onboarding and maintenance, review documentation for accuracy, and drive timely case closures with support for legal reviews when needed.

The role emphasizes risk awareness, process-improvement opportunities, and effective communication with internal partners and external clients while maintaining 48-hour turnaround targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience supporting Merrill Wealth Management brokerage accounts in service or operations.
• Experience managing a high-volume personal caseload and consistently meeting 48-hour turnaround timeframes.
• Ability to apply judgment within established guidelines to resolve routine exceptions while maintaining risk awareness and escalating issues appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for phone and email interaction with internal partners.
• Ability to work flexibly between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Minimum 1 year of experience reviewing legal and/or tax documentation (desired).
• Experience using Service Request Portal (SRP) (desired).

Responsibilities

• Perform onboarding and maintenance of accounts
• Review account documentation and validate items for good order
• Approve or complete cases and obtain legal review or approved exceptions when needed
• Conduct research, follow-up, and resolution of moderately complex routine requests
• Identify risks and process-improvement opportunities
• Execute control reports and store required evidence
• Respond to moderately complex client inquiries through multiple channels
• Provide status updates, return items for missing information, and confirm completed requests
• Understand end-to-end process flows, controls, risks, and upstream/downstream impacts
• Provide operations support to internal business partners and external clients
• Assist in training less experienced team members
• Escalate moderately complex issues to the team lead or manager
