Job summary

Pepperl+Fuchs Group in Birmingham, AL seeks an Account Manager for the Vision Machine Technic division to drive growth with automotive manufacturers in the southeastern U.S. This full-time role focuses on growing current accounts and developing new ones while presenting cutting-edge vision sensor solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial sales, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and is willing to travel up to 50% to support customers and build relationships across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in industrial/controls.
• Experience selling to automobile manufacturers preferred.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% within the southeastern U.S.

Responsibilities

• Grow existing accounts within the territory and develop new accounts.
• Present new product solutions to current and prospective customers.
• Learn new products and solutions as they become available.
• Report daily activities and maintain priority accounts in CRM.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare communications as needed.
• Interact professionally with staff and the public.
• Take on additional responsibilities and special projects as directed.

The Account Manager has the overall responsibility for account management including:

• Growth of existing accounts within the territory.
• Developing new accounts within the territory.
• Presenting new product solutions to existing accounts and new markets.
• Learn new products and solutions as they become available.
• Reports daily activities and maintains priority accounts in CRM software.
• Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.
• Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff and the general public.
• Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

The Background You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with sales in an industrial/controls environment.
• Experienced sales with automobile manufacturers factory operations preferred.
• Needs to be Flexible, self-motivated, likes to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time throughout the southeastern U.S.
