Job summary

Arrowhead Programs is hiring an Account Manager Trainee in Overland Park, KS for a hybrid role that blends client management and underwriting support. You will learn to provide technical administrative support to producers, handle renewals, endorsements, and billing, and act as the first contact for customers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review in-force policies for current clients; ensure forms, endorsements, and data are accurate in Applied/EPIC
• Manage higher level changes and assist with COIs when needed
• Handle billing issues and coordinate with Accounting on past due balances
• Renew and remarket an existing book of business; prepare renewal information, applications, and proposals

A DAY IN THE LIFE AT ARROWHEAD

In this position, you will develop the knowledge and skills to provide technical and advanced administrative support to our producers. You will also develop the knowledge and ability to provide consultation and technical support as the first point of contact for customers. Additionally, you will compile data, perform routine and non-routine tasks, and processes renewals and endorsements to support the underwriting process.

Client Management

• Review in-force policies for current clients making sure forms, endorsements, policy changes, billing and other data are accurate in our agency management system (Applied/EPIC).
• Personally manage higher level changes.
• Our CSR group handles most of the COIs but if something is mission critical (e.g. a change in location) we want your expertise to take care of it.
• Handle billing related issues and work directly with Accounting to address past due balances.

Marketing

A big piece of hitting the ground from Day One in this role is renewing and remarketing an existing book of business. Renewal marketing prep includes updating policy information, gathering loss reports, processing renewal information received from our clients, and completing applications/submissions. Working with insurance company underwriters to receive timely and accurate quotes. Preparing renewal presentations and proposals, and binding/reissuing policies.

EXPERIENCE WE NEED IN THIS ROLE

• Bachelor's degree and zero to two years related experience in the insurance industry and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High level of organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks and assignments in required timeframes.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• State Property and Casualty license is required within the first 90 days of employment.
