The Account Management team in Plaid’s SMB customer segment leverages our deep technical, product, and industry knowledge to help our small and medium-sized customers build and scale applications. We act as partners, advisors, and advocates for our customers to improve their interactions with financial data.

We are seeking a customer-facing professional to manage and grow our client relationships within our SMB segment. The ideal candidate is skilled at building strong partnerships, understanding customer priorities, and working cross-functionally to drive solutions.

You will be the primary contact for your customers, assisting with all stages from integration to expansion. You will collaborate with external stakeholders, including developers and executives, to support their application development with financial data.

Responsibilities
  • Own the relationship with customers, identifying key stakeholders and building strong relationships.
  • Manage initiatives to increase product adoption, engagement, and revenue.
  • Lead account reviews and escalations, setting and tracking KPIs for customer satisfaction.
  • Provide consultative guidance on Plaid’s solutions and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate renewals and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Translate customer feedback into product insights and align priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of relationship management experience.
  • Experience in financial services or technology industries is a plus.
  • Ability to partner with sales and technical teams to drive results.
  • Strong business acumen with a product-oriented mindset.
  • Quick learner of new technologies and complex concepts.
  • Interest in financial services and technical products; curious and enthusiastic.

Salary range: $99,840 - $157,440 annually, depending on location and experience.

Our geographic zones include:

  • Zone 1: New York City and San Francisco Bay Area
  • Zone 2: Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C.
  • Zone 3: Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego
  • Zone 4: Raleigh-Durham and other US cities

Additional compensation includes equity and/or commissions. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
