Description du poste

Account Manager - Public Sector Partnerships

Account Manager - Public Sector Partnerships

We're looking for commercially minded Account Managers to help us strengthen, grow and diversify our partnerships across the NHS and wider public sector.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building senior relationships but is equally motivated by creating opportunities and delivering growth. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of existing and prospective public sector accounts within a defined geographical region, developing trusted partnerships, identifying opportunities for service expansion and securing new business across both existing and emerging service lines.

Working closely with Clinical, Operational, Finance and Commercial colleagues, you'll develop account strategies, build commercial pipelines and lead opportunities from initial engagement through to implementation. This includes developing proposals and business cases, supporting bids and tenders, negotiating solutions with partners and helping to secure sustainable growth.

Success will be measured through the strength of your relationships, retention and growth of existing contracts, the opportunities you create and convert, and the commercial outcomes you help deliver.

As part of a growing Account Management function, you'll play an important role in shaping how we work with our public sector partners and helping to drive the next phase of growth at Clinical Partners.

If you're proactive, commercially focused and motivated by turning relationships into meaningful partnerships and measurable results, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to regional customer meetings and events, together with periodic team meetings in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of NHS and wider public sector contracts, accounts and strategic relationships.
  • Build trusted relationships with commissioners, NHS organisations, local authorities and other key public sector stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for allocated contracts and partnership accounts, representing the voice of our partners within Clinical Partners.
  • Develop clear, focused account plans with defined objectives, growth ambitions and agreed actions.
  • Support contract retention and identify opportunities for new activity, service expansion, pathway development and sustainable account growth.
  • Develop proposals, commercial cases and growth opportunities that support organisational objectives and customer needs.
  • Build and manage a commercial pipeline, taking ownership of opportunities and progressing them from initial discussion through to implementation.
  • Support bids, tenders, contract negotiations and other commercial activity as required.
  • Monitor contractual and service performance, coordinating timely responses to commissioner requirements and agreed actions.
  • Manage service issues, complaints, risks and escalations, bringing together the right teams to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Keep close to developments across the healthcare and wider public sector landscape, identifying emerging priorities, system pressures and partnership opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively across Clinical, Operational, Finance and Commercial teams to deliver for our partners and convert opportunities into sustainable growth.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, pipeline updates, risks and actions, providing clear and timely updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Work towards agreed growth objectives and performance targets within your account portfolio.
Requirements:

We're interested in people who have experience in account management, partnerships, business development or commercial roles and can demonstrate a track record of developing opportunities alongside managing strategic client relationships.

You'll be someone who:

  • Has experience managing complex relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Can develop and deliver effective account plans with clear objectives and growth opportunities.
  • Has experience building and managing commercial pipelines.
  • Is confident identifying, developing and progressing opportunities for growth.
  • Can interpret performance, market and financial information to support decision-making.
  • Has experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams around customer needs and commercial opportunities.
  • Is commercially aware and comfortable discussing proposals, contracts and service solutions.
  • Can balance relationship management with delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Can think strategically while maintaining a strong focus on execution and delivery.
  • Experience within the NHS, healthcare, social care, local or central government, or another public sector environment would be advantageous, particularly where this includes exposure to commissioning, procurement, contract management or partnership development.

  • £45,000 - £50,000 annual salary (DOE)
  • 25 days paid holiday (increasing with service to 28 days) plus bank holidays.
  • A day off for your birthday.
