SUMMARY
Responsible for providing customer service and overall support to assigned customers and/or policies on large market accounts. Supports the Producer in soliciting new business and other Producer-led initiatives. Provides mentoring to staff to support the immediate supervisor.
This is a remote role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fosters and manages the overall relationship with clients, ensuring retention of small to large market accounts and high satisfaction;
- Supports the Producer in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects;
- Initiates the renewal process for existing clients and discusses and creates renewal strategies with the Producer;
- Analyzes and compares current exposures, developing renewal or new business specifications for marketing;
- Conducts marketing, negotiates rates, reviews quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy;
- Independently reviews policies to determine appropriate coverage and identifies possible deficiencies;
- Reviews and summarizes marketing results, preparing proposals;
- Finalizes proposals and presentations in coordination with the Producer;
- Binds insurance coverage and prepares binders and/or delegate certificates for issuance;
- Reviews policies for accuracy and reviews contracts;
- Prepares summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients;
- Reviews client accounting history, responds to inquiries, corrects discrepancies, and contacts clients regarding receivable collections;
- Provides technical guidance to staff assisting with client needs or procedural issues;
- Participates in the claims process as directed by management, including claim submission, follow-up, and communication;
- Notifies the Producer of pertinent information related to client retention;
- Meets with clients as needed or directed by the Producer;
- Provides mentoring to staff to support the immediate supervisor;
- Manages collection of fees, reconciliation, and resolution of outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing;
- Ensures compliance with agency management system data standards and maintains data integrity by entering and updating complete and accurate information;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree
- Eight (8) or more years of related work experience
- Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor
- Valid Insurance License required
- Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
