Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems I LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to develop pricing proposals, negotiate terms with customers, and secure orders while maintaining strong relationships across automotive manufacturing accounts. The role requires travel to customer locations and collaboration with multiple internal teams to address commercial needs.

• 5-9 years of combined Finance Management and/or Sales experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites, including plants.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing and commercial proposals and negotiate with customers.
• Maintain customer relationships and resolve issues; communicate needs to relevant departments.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to improve YFSS financial performance.
• Secure POs and coordinate with internal teams; may use customers’ quotation systems.
• Negotiate engineering changes and manage prototype quotations.
• Prepare and maintain customer price breakdown and tooling price forms.
• Resolve customer open issues across purchasing, SCE, CIT, tooling, and operations.
• Manage accounts receivable escalations and service accounts.

Main Responsibilities, Requirements, and Competencies

• Customer Commercial Management (Develop pricing and commercial proposals and negotiate with customer. Be intimate with customer commercial requirements and develop proposals that meet customer requirements and create value for YFSS)
• Customer Relationship Management (Deliver customer’s information, solve customer’s problems, receive requests of information, deliver issues to related department, provide solutions, proposals, and obtain feedback)
• Commercial Savings Planning / Negotiation - Current and Future year
• Payment Terms Negotiation and transition plan
• Visit Customers; gather information incl. business opportunities, volumes, capacity, and financial status. Build strong relationship with customers
• Identify, pursue, and realize commercial opportunities that improve YFSS financial performance.
• Collect 5-year business plan information from customer
• Fulfill customer requirements to address pricing and commercial needs that include creation of customers’ price breakdown forms, tooling price breakdown forms, and various requests for information needed to support commercial issues and claims.
• Secure PO and release to internal departments; May include population of customers’ online quotation systems
• Negotiating of Engineering Changes (Phase 2 - 5)
• Prototype Part Quotation
• ED&D Negotiation / Purchase Order Receipt
• Create / Maintain Bump Chart/Maintain Directed Component Bump Chart
• Customer Price Breakdown Form Development / Maintenance / History
• Customer Commercial Open Issues (Purchasing, SCE, CIT, Tooling, Operations)
• Account Receivables Issue Resolution (Customer Escalations)
• Service Account Management (RFQ, supply chain, plant move, etc)
• Load Customer Portal

Area of Study

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience;
• Master Degree preferred
• Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.

Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

• 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience with combined Finance Management and/or Sales
• 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

• Experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Manufacturing, Technical Engineering/Program Management, or Technical Sales Representative preferred

• May frequent manufacturing plants and must follow all rules while visiting locations.
