What We’re Looking For

The Account Manager serves as the primary business contact for the client, responsible for client satisfaction, providing excellent customer service, and building relationships to encourage new and repeat business.

A Glimpse Into Your Day
  • Serve as a client advocate and primary contact for assigned accounts.
  • Develop professional relationships and understand clients’ core business.
  • Lead projects, meetings, and client deliverables using established tools.
  • Manage client expectations, service commitments, and anticipate needs.
  • Handle engagement letters, scope of services, and project timelines.
  • Establish carrier/vendor relationships for administration of eligibility, claims, billing, and contracts.
  • Resolve client issues promptly and delegate tasks as needed.
  • Manage RFP processes, compile information, and review responses.
  • Analyze market data, prepare reports, and present findings to clients.
  • Review vendor contracts, plan documents, and employee communications for compliance and accuracy.
  • Monitor claims and utilization data, analyze trends, and report to clients.
  • Generate new sales through existing clients and referrals, and introduce other company products.
  • Gather and interpret health and welfare survey data for clients.
  • Recommend process improvements and perform additional duties as assigned.
What Success Looks Like
  • Life Accident & Health License required and must be maintained.
  • Professional designations like CEBS, CBP are highly desirable.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; a four-year degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ account management experience in insurance, focusing on Accident and Health coverage.
  • Knowledge of insurance markets, products, ratings, and underwriting procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and online rating systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, under tight deadlines, handling multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel, and reliable transportation.

The salary range for this role is $42,618 - $90,577, depending on skills, experience, and location. Additional incentives may be available based on performance.
