Our Opportunity

The Benefits Consultant primarily retains clients and manages their existing accounts. Responsibilities include strategy development, financial analysis, benefit design, plan renewals, benchmarking, and service delivery. The role also involves communicating OneDigital’s value and industry trends to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Develop benefit design and renewal strategies, addressing complex client issues
  • Collaborate with account management on pre-renewal strategies, RFPs, open enrollment, and post-renewal analysis
  • Define scope of services for clients
  • Establish and communicate timelines, keeping teams updated
  • Maintain accountability for revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction
  • Monitor project scope, budget, and timelines
  • Oversee onboarding of new clients with the client service team
  • Ensure client service exceeds expectations
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to grow the book
  • Build and maintain strong client and carrier relationships
  • Attend carrier events for updates and relationship building
  • Stay informed on insurance markets, funding, networks, and benefit options
  • Ensure data accuracy in CRM
  • Stay compliant with relevant legislation and regulations
Requirements

Experience
  • 3+ years of benefits consulting experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Practical quoting process knowledge and tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database applications
  • Valid life and health insurance license
