Job Description

Title: Account Manager - Commercial Lines
Location: Remote (Eastern & Central Time Zones only), based out of Ocala, FL
Focus: General, Contractors

Role Summary:

Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring client retention and supporting new business development. Handle administrative and customer service activities, resolve complex issues, and maintain accuracy in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Lead the daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on delinquent accounts, and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
• Monitor activity and suspense reports to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate regularly and transparently with the team regarding workload and issues.
• Provide excellent service, anticipate client needs, and respond promptly.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Implement best practices for individual and team performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership aligned with IOA values.

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
