SUMMARY:
Reporting to the ESS National Sales Manager, the Account Manager | HomeGrid is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients within designated geographic regions. In addition, the Account Manager is responsible for selling HomeGrid’s products by identifying leads, educating prospects on products through calls, training and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Actively seeks and acquires new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
- Develops and executes strategic account plans to meet sales targets.
- Serves as the main point of contact for assigned accounts in the assigned territory, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
- Develops a deep understanding of the client’s business needs and industry trends.
- Addresses client inquiries, resolves issues, and provides ongoing support.
- Recommends improvements for processes to improve sales performance.
- Logs all interactions with new and existing customers in the CRM system to maintain accurate records.
- Offers insights and recommendations on competitive pricing strategies.
- Travels to customer locations as needed to strengthen relationships, provide product insights, and drive sales opportunities.
- Represents the company at trade shows, training sessions, and product meetings as needed.
- Works closely with other stakeholder departments to align sales strategies.
- Ensures smooth onboarding and implementation of products and services for clients.
- Performs other duties outside their scope of work as assigned and required.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field is preferred.
- General knowledge/experience in relation to electricity/renewables preferred.
- 3 years outside sales experience preferred.
- Results-focused and deadline-driven ensuring that tasks are prioritized, diarized, actioned, reviewed, and followed up in a timely manner.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM experience.

This role is conducted in the field, remote, and/or office environment requiring some or all of the following:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements.

- Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing or pulling, bending, or twisting motions.
- Frequent travel to client sites and events, including the ability to drive or travel long distances.
- Walking and standing for extended periods during client meetings, presentations, and events.
