The Account Manager with the Business Services Team will act as a contact between Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) and local business/industry to facilitate and collaborate all services offerings provided by the college. Primarily, this will be business development and sales of contract training and/or open enrollment offerings for corporate and continuing education. The account manager will attempt to identify and understand the client’s needs and provide solutions. Individuals will evaluate and adapt new strategies to keep up with current business trends. Account managers may work on client projects individually or through collaboration with internal associates.
An Account Manager must be inventive, flexible, and adaptable, being able to manage multiple projects at once and at times, in a fast paced environment. In addition, they must be inventive and resourceful, have strong marketing skills and have a good technical background with regard to previous and current business and industry trends. He/she must also be target oriented, a team player, schematic, enthusiastic, and ambitious; a good problem solver; computer literate; an effective communicator; well organized and capable of drawing relevant insights to meet the client’s expectations, and possess a wide personal network to help in finding new leads and signing potential clients.
Account Manager, Business Services - Con Ed
Normal working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. However, there will be occasions where work is required before or after normal working hours, holidays, weekends, and school calendar breaks. Local travel is required. Out of state travel is limited but sometimes required for special trainings/conferences. The office is located on our Kannapolis campus in the Advanced Technology Center (ATC).

Cross-functional responsibilities for the North Carolina Manufacturing Institute, BioWork & Aseptic Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Logistics.
Monitors and participates in day-to-day business development activities and services; ensuring service offerings meet specified needs and requirements.
May supervise other employees, contract employees and/or student workers to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring workers are trained; ensuring that workers follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
Evaluate services and instructors; monitor budget(s); coordinate contract services; select instructors; develop program offerings and trainings.
Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as needed.
