Job Role: Account Manager

Account Managers are responsible for managing Cision’s customer relationships from a mid-market brand perspective, focusing on revenue, product, and renewal objectives. The goal is to retain 100% of revenue across various renewals and products. Additionally, Account Managers handle cross-selling efforts within their account base, typically managing over 100 customer relationships to maximize customer success. They collaborate closely with executive leadership, supervisors, and internal partners to ensure client relationships are cultivated and grown through high service levels.

Responsibilities
  1. Retain and grow revenue within assigned customer accounts profitably.
  2. Serve as the primary client contact, coordinating resources (broadcast, Insights, compliance specialists, sales leadership, etc.) to ensure excellent service and product utilization.
  3. Advise clients on message development, distribution, monitoring, and measurement.
  4. Provide expertise and solutions-based selling across the full suite of Cision products and services.
  5. Meet performance metrics daily, weekly, and monthly to drive growth.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of sales experience, focused on growing existing or new business.
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to sell value at all levels over the phone.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions or subscription-based products to diverse customers.
  • Proven success in growing business from an established client base.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience managing large accounts or projects.
  • Proven ability to close deals with large and mid-size companies.
  • Background in communications, public relations, or journalism preferred.
  • Ability to adapt, overcome objections, and learn complex solutions.
  • Experience selling in the PR vertical is preferred.
