Job Description: Account Manager at GuidePoint Security

GuidePoint Security provides trusted cybersecurity expertise, solutions, and services that help organizations make better decisions and minimize risk. By taking a three-tiered, holistic approach for evaluating security posture and ecosystems, GuidePoint enables some of the nation's top organizations, such as Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies, to identify threats, optimize resources, and integrate best-fit solutions that mitigate risk.

The ideal Account Manager (AM) works on a team with and for an Account Executive (AE), assisting them in sales lifecycle responsibilities and ensuring customer retention and growth.

Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as the dedicated Account Manager for a specified Account Executive, helping this individual maintain and grow their specific business within their accounts.
  2. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Responding to customer inquiries in a timely fashion and moving to resolution.
  • Serving as a liaison between customers, vendors, and GuidePoint resources for this specified AE.
  • Developing and retaining product and industry knowledge, vendor resources, and GuidePoint security service offerings.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with GuidePoint key vendors and the Account Executive's customers.
  • Leveraging vendor resources and relationships to bring value to customers.
  • Increasing call frequency and engagement with AE's customer base.
  • Managing open opportunities in existing accounts with guidance from AE.
  • Identifying whitespace opportunities with customers and vendors.
  • Representing GPS AE at customer meetings as needed.
  • With AE guidance, closing renewal, upsell, and net new sales cycles.
  • Proactively supporting upcoming renewals, identifying upsell opportunities, and supporting existing business.
  • Collaborating on marketing communications and targeted follow-up.
  • Driving and selling GPS Professional Services engagements across targeted accounts.
  • Assisting AE in forecast management and internal strategic reporting.
  • If required, leveraging Salesforce.com to generate quotes, track open opportunities, and renewals.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Experience Requirements:
    • Proven success in inside sales.
    • Cybersecurity experience required.
    • Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Ability to work well within a team.
    • Strong multitasking skills.
    • Positive attitude, results-driven, and adaptable to ambiguity.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Flexible work schedule.
    • Experience with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office.
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
