Job description

Crit Apparel is a custom apparel and merchandise company producing jerseys, teamwear, sweatshirts, shirts, uniforms, branded merchandise, and other custom products for teams, schools, organizations, brands, events, and communities.

We are looking for a motivated Account Manager to help manage customer relationships, move opportunities through the sales and production process, and grow revenue across both new and existing accounts.

This is a remote, commission-driven position with a base hourly wage plus additional earning potential based on sales performance.

Position Overview

The Account Manager serves as a primary point of contact between Crit Apparel and its customers.

This person will help customers move from an initial inquiry or idea through quoting, design, ordering, production, and delivery. Account Managers will work closely with Crit Apparel's design and production teams to ensure client requests are properly documented, communicated, and completed.

The role combines sales, customer service, project coordination, and account growth. Account Managers are expected not only to manage inbound opportunities and existing accounts, but also to actively look for opportunities to generate additional business through reorders, new products, referrals, and outbound prospecting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers and sales opportunities.
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries and help prospective customers understand Crit Apparel's products and services.
  • Gather the information necessary to properly quote and begin custom apparel projects.
  • Help customers select products, quantities, styles, colors, sizing, and other order specifications.
  • Prepare and communicate quotes and pricing to customers.
  • Follow up consistently on outstanding quotes, opportunities, design approvals, and orders.
  • Convert approved opportunities into active orders.
  • Create clear internal design tickets containing customer requirements, branding, logos, inspiration, product selections, and other relevant information.
  • Coordinate with Crit Apparel's design team throughout the concept and revision process.
  • Present designs to customers and gather clear, actionable feedback.
  • Manage customer approvals and ensure final details are confirmed before production.
  • Coordinate internally with production and operations teams regarding timelines, order status, and customer expectations.
  • Keep customers informed throughout the ordering and production process.
  • Help resolve customer questions, changes, and issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer communications, opportunities, orders, and next steps in Crit Apparel's systems.
  • Identify reorder opportunities and proactively reconnect with previous customers.
  • Introduce customers to additional products that may fit their organization or upcoming needs.
  • Prospect for new customers through email, phone, social media, referrals, networking, and other approved outreach methods.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers rather than treating each order as a one-time transaction.
  • Meet established activity, sales, and revenue expectations.

This role is designed around both account management and revenue generation.

Account Managers should actively look for opportunities to grow their book of business, including:

  • New customer acquisition
  • Repeat orders
  • Seasonal apparel
  • Additional team or department orders
  • Organization-wide apparel opportunities
  • Referrals from existing customers

Compensation

This position includes:

  • Hourly base compensation at the applicable minimum wage based on the employee's work location
  • Commission on qualifying sales
  • Additional earning potential based on individual sales performance

Specific commission structures, eligibility requirements, payment timing, and qualifying revenue will be communicated as part of the employment offer and Crit Apparel's commission plan.

What We're Looking For

  • Organized and capable of managing multiple customers and orders simultaneously.
  • Persistent with follow-up without being overly aggressive.
  • Comfortable discussing pricing and asking customers to move forward with an order.
  • Able to clearly document customer requests for designers and production staff.
