Role Overview

As an Account Manager at EZ Texting, you will manage and grow relationships with existing customers, explore new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction, product adoption, and revenue growth within your assigned book of business. You will collaborate with your Sales Manager and VP of Customer Success.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Identify and address customer needs to prevent churn and promote satisfaction.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Explore new business opportunities within your territory or industry segment.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our SaaS products to communicate their value effectively.
  • Provide training and guidance to help customers optimize product use.
  • Manage contract renewals, negotiate terms, and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and sales activities, providing forecasts and reports.
  • Relay customer feedback to improve products.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver a unified customer experience.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 5+ years in a closing role as an AE, CSM, or AM.
  • Proven experience in account management or customer success, preferably in SaaS or tech.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and retention goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, DocuSign).
  • Ability to work independently managing a diverse book of business.
  • Results-driven and customer-centric mindset.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, cloud computing, or related tech is advantageous.
  • Strategic thinking for growth opportunities within accounts.
What We Offer

This role offers potential equity and benefits. Starting compensation varies by location:

  • Tier 1 (Bay Area, NYC, SEA): $133,500 - $175,000
  • Tier 2 (LA, SD, BOS, ATX, DC, PHI): $128,000 - $169,000
  • Tier 3 (DAL, ATL, HOU, NSH, MIA, ALB): $119,000 - $162,000
  • Tier 4 (Other): $104,000 - $147,000
