Overview

We are seeking an Account Manager in the Water Treatment industry, based in Western, Central, or Eastern Kansas. This is a technical sales role, working directly with customers to assess water system health.

Territory/Location: This role is remote, based out of a home office, covering approximately a 150-mile radius.

Travel: 80-100% within the territory.

Compensation: $80K-$100K plus commission.

Responsibilities

  • Increase annual gross profit by following the Kurita Selling Process (KSP):
    • Identify qualified partners
    • Build trust through engagement
    • Propose creative, customized solutions
    • Close sales and develop long-term partnerships
    • Create shared value by helping customers meet environmental, financial, asset health, and sustainability goals

Support current customers with water testing, equipment maintenance, and system analysis, communicating results clearly and professionally. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Critical Success Factors

  • Perform all functions safely, with no accidents
  • Maintain existing customer relationships
  • Service accounts per agreements
  • Demonstrate expertise in boiler, cooling, pretreatment, analytical, and waste treatment systems
  • Show value through service reports and business reviews
  • Complete and update contracts and worksheets, submitting them as required
  • Assist in training sales team members
  • Meet account commitments and sales targets
  • Maintain key regional and national accounts
  • Participate in regional meetings and initiatives
  • Engage in professional and trade organizations
  • Target quarterly sales goals
  • Serve as a principal trainer for new reps

Qualifications

  • Technical Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of water treatment or industrial plant experience
  • Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater systems preferred
  • Proven track record of goal achievement and overcoming obstacles
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • No immigration sponsorship available
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
