Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an Account Manager to collaborate with Account Executives, Brokers, and the Operations Manager to move mortgage files through processing, underwriting, and closing while ensuring all forms are complete and compliant.

You will manage workload, communicate with brokers and loan officers, and mentor new staff, applying strong mortgage processing knowledge and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• Mortgage lending experience (5+ years) and knowledge of wholesale loan setup.
• Account management experience (3+ years) within mortgage operations.
• Strong understanding of federal/state regulations, FHA/Conventional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete and review forms to ensure accuracy and compliance before moving files to the next loan stage.
• Coordinate with Account Executives, Brokers, and Operations Manager to progress mortgage transactions.
• Provide training and mentoring to new employees as part of onboarding.

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Job Summary

The Account Managers will work with the Account Executives, Brokers, and the Operations Manager to complete the mortgage loan transaction. The Account Manager will ensure all information on necessary forms is completed and follow all compliance guidelines before the file is moved to the stage of the loan process.

Job Duties

• Has a thorough understanding of mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Experienced with both wet and dry states.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations and requirements with emphasis on FHA, Conventional, and VOE Only.
• Experience and ability to work independently and anticipate needs.
• Communicate with the Broker or Loan officers on an ongoing basis.
• Ability to handle and prioritize own workload with minimal direct supervision.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Mavent and Encompass is required
• Provide training and mentor new employees as part of their onboarding process
• Represents the company in a professional and enthusiastic manner: by providing an exceptional level of customer service, supporting the mission statement, and adhering to our core values in all functions of their job responsibilities and interaction with internal and external customers
• Ability to multi-task, accept, prioritize, and execute on tasks assigned by the Operations Manager and EVP, Operations.
• Additional responsibilities as management sees fit.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in Mortgage Lending with at least 3 years of experience in Account Management.
• High School diploma or GED.
• In-depth knowledge of Wholesale loan set-up process
