Job summary

Control Devices, LLC is seeking an Account Manager in Fenton, MO to develop and manage relationships with strategic accounts. You will drive sales activity, forecast metrics, and coordinate with production to align capacity with customer demand.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2–4 years of related experience, strong communication, and proficiency with ERP/CRM tools. Located in the St. Louis area, this exempt position reports to the Customer Service Manager.

Position Title: Account Manager
Department: Sales
Location: Fenton, MO
Reports To: Customer Service Manager
Classification: Exempt
Position Summary:

Responsible for developing and managing customer relations with selected accounts and will be responsible for strategic account management including customer service activities.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Identifies and grows opportunities within territory and collaborate with team to ensure growth attainment
  • Identifies accounts where revenues may be shrinking and formulates strategies to retain and grow
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Identifies business trends
  • Conduct reviews of customer feedback to find usage trends and service needs
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Operate as lead point of contact for accounts and assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Provide standard technical guidance and troubleshooting advice for assigned product lines
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Act as a liaison between customers and production, effectively managing and aligning expectations with capacity, lead times, and operational priorities
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 2-4 years of experience related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Experience:
  • Previous experience using Macola and/or ACT!
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Experience managing multiple projects at a time
  • Demonstrated record of success with consistent increase in sales
  • Experience negotiation and closing contracts with demonstrated success
  • Successfully developed and executed strategic plans resulting in customer focused business proposals and revenue generation meeting the established sales quota
  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
  • Demonstrates knowledge of various sales methods and can utilize this understanding during specific customer engagements, and during the development and improvement of the internal sales set-up

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, sales tools and ERP system
