Job summary

Gothic Landscape in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Account Manager, a leadership role focused on operations and portfolio management for commercial clients. The position starts at 6am, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities spanning client relations, crew oversight, and site quality reviews.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in client and crew management in the landscape sector, a related degree or equivalent experience, and strong communication skills.

• 3+ years managing client & crew in commercial landscape
• 2–4 year degree in related field or 2–3 years landscape experience
• 3 years of customer service, sales and communication experience
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal skills for proposals and bids
• Experience in consultative sales to clients
• Spanish bilingual preferred

Responsibilities

• Create strong relationships with customers through communication and service, ensuring quality and timely service on projects
• Manage crew members including morning dispatch, performance management, addressing complaints, and planning workload
• Provide proactive site quality reviews and communicate assessments internally and externally
• Network and earn referrals to help the branch grow
• Lead the branch in growing base contracts in targeted markets and locations
• Assist the branch team in achieving quality, retention, growth and profitability

Are you our next great LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE ACCOUNT MANAGER?

This position is NOT a Sales position. It is a Landscape Manager with landscaping operations & portfolio management experience. Must have landscaping/horticulture knowledge + strong client portfolio management experience.

This position is located in Camarillo, CA with a start time of 6am, Mon-Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES of Account Managers will include, but not limited to

• Create strong relationships with our customers through communication and service, ensuring they receive quality, timely service on their projects
• Manage crew members as needed including: morning dispatch, performance management, addressing complaints, and planning, assigning or directing work load
• Provide proactive site quality reviews and communicate assessments internally and externally
• Network and earn referrals to help the branch achieve its new growth objectives
• Lead the branch in growing its base contracts in the targeted market segments and geographic locations
• Assist the branch team in achieving its overall objectives of quality, retention, growth and profitability

Are you the right fit for this role?

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE that are necessary as an Account Manager will include, but not limited to

• Must have 3 years+ of client & crew management experience within the commercial landscape industry with a proven track record of managing a large client portfolio
• 2 or 4-year college degree in a related field and/or, have a minimum of 2-3 years landscape/horticulture experience preferred to include training and managing multiple crew members/gardeners
• 3 years of strong customer service, sales and communication experience, or combined comparable experience
• Sound time management and organizational skills with a strong work ethic
• Strong interpersonal verbal & written skills are a must with the ability to write and present proposals and bids
• Experience in consultative sales to clients for additional services
• Spanish Bilingual is highly preferred to communicate effectively with crew members

SALARY RANGE:

• $80,000 - $95,000 per year (specific compensation may vary based on overall skills, experience and location)
• Annual Bonus potential (specific compensation may vary based on overall branch & individual performance)
