Job summary

Pro Staff in Lisle, IL is seeking an Account Management Representative to support students with financial guidance in a fast-paced, education-focused environment. You will handle a portfolio of students, collaborate with academic partners, and report to the Account Management Manager in a contact center setting.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service and communication skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Entry level role; prior customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Title IV or financial aid regulations is a plus.

Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $21-22/hr. (with potentially room for growth)

Day in the Life:

• Responsible for assisting in student success through proactive and accurate account assessment and student finance advising
• Manage a portfolio of students (either undergraduate or graduate or a combination thereof) to ensure that all students have the appropriate guidance to make informed financial decisions
• Report directly to the Account Management Manager and works in a contact center environment that supports students regardless of service modality
• Works closely with academic partners and other departments to research and resolve any student financing issues

Keys to Success:

• Experience in Higher Education is a plus
• Knowledge of federal Title IV and state financial aid regulations and associated processing procedures a plus
• Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team
• Outstanding customer service skills
• PC skills in Microsoft Office, database, and internet applications
• Excellent interpersonal communication, mathematical, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure project completion
• Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of, and quickly resolve, complex issues

Entry level. Experience in customer service and working in phone-based roles, collections experience is not required.
