Join our team as a Account Management Project Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing client satisfaction by resolving issues related to delivery, rebates, credits, and contract inquiries. Utilizing the extensive support resources at Cencora, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure smooth operations. In this dynamic position, you will also source data and generate insightful reports to support customer initiatives and projects, making a meaningful impact on our clients' success.

This Position is remote supporting:

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

3401 Civic Center Boulevard

Philadelphia, PA 19104

Normal Working Hours are:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend or evening hours as needed for emergent business needs.

The Dedicated Account Specialist responds to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia requests for issue resolution, including delivery, rebate and credits, and contract inquiries while utilizing the Cencora support resources network where necessary. This role sources data and generates appropriate reports in support of customer initiatives and projects.

  • Develops and sustain long-term customer relationships while engaging customers at all levels, include senior levels of the customers organization to drive optimal experience.
  • Understands customer-specific nuances and ensures internal teams have knowledge needed to drive alignment between the customer and internal Cencora stakeholders to effectively service the customer.
  • Provides dedicated customer support, acts as a liaison, and points of escalation for the health system in working collaboratively with Cencora. (e.g., onboarding/offboarding, conversion activities, and process/policy/technology changes).
  • Serves as the on-site subject matter expert (SME) for Cencora Ordering platforms and associated report generation and interpretation. Responsible for discussing new enhancements and functionality that will benefit the customer.
  • Partners with external Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia representatives and internal Cencora support to ensure business goals are aligned and tracked.
  • Meets with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia stakeholders to establish mutually agreed upon timelines for reporting, metrics and progress updates.
  • Participates in regularly required service compliance training. Completes all training on time.
  • Delivers regular updates to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on resolved issues and status of critical back-ordered items. Reviews Cencora purchasing reports as well as pharmacy system reports for opportunities and summarizes into concise data for review by Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Cencora leadership.
  • Participates in projects focused on Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia saving initiatives such as GPO, contract optimization, and/or inventory optimization. Discuss Cencora clinical solutions to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external senior-level management to understand customer needs, maximize retention and growth, and communicate initiatives/milestones
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for managing the following metrics for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia:
  • Contract compliance reports.
  • 340B savings reports (where applicable).
  • Quarterly business review.
  • Savings opportunity reports.

Requirements:

Normally requires broad training in fields such as pharmaceutical purchasing, pharmacy technician, supply chain, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Pharmacy technician certification and/or experience as a pharmaceutical buyer highly preferred. Normally requires 2 plus years of experience within a pharmacy or healthcare finance department.

  • Possesses basic business acumen, with the ability to understand and interpret financial data related to customer accounts at a basic level. This includes handling accounting inquiries, interpreting contract modifiers, and analyzing customer performance as related to the above at a basic level
  • Proactive mindset and critical thinking skills; anticipating the needs of the customer before issues progress
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (ability to perform V-lookups, pivot tables, and other operations needed to perform intermediate data analysis)
  • Experience with utilizing dashboards and internal resources to assess customer account health and determine appropriate action plans (e.g., PowerBI and CRM tools including Salesforce)
