Job summary

Onward Search is seeking an Account Group Supervisor for a temporary remote-in-region role in the pharmaceutical marketing space. You will provide strategic leadership across multiple client accounts, guide account teams, and strengthen executive-level relationships to drive high-quality delivery and profitability.

You will mentor and develop team members, oversee brand strategy development, and monitor program performance to ensure long-term account growth.

Job description

An opportunity is available for an Account Group Supervisor with our client in the pharmaceutical marketing agency space. This temporary position supports strategic leadership across multiple client accounts while guiding account teams and strengthening executive-level relationships. This role is remote (in region) and focused on driving high-quality delivery, profitability, and long-term account growth.

• Provide strategic leadership across multiple client accounts, including complex or multi-brand portfolios and cross-agency collaborations.
• Serve as a senior client-facing partner, strengthening relationships through planning, feedback, and proactive problem-solving.
• Lead, mentor, and develop account team members, including assigning work, coaching performance, and supporting hiring decisions.
• Drive brand strategy development through planning and brainstorming, ensuring alignment to client objectives and long-term growth.
• Oversee account health by monitoring timelines, deliverables, and program performance, and guiding teams on improving processes and ways of working.

Account Group Supervisor Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in a pharmaceutical advertising/marketing agency environment.
• 12+ years of strategic account leadership experience in a comparable pharma marketing agency setting.
• 5+ years of experience supervising direct reports within an account team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (high school diploma/GED with an appropriate combination of education and experience considered).
• Proficiency with MS Office and comfort using tools such as Adobe Acrobat and project management systems.
