GuidePoint Security - Job Opportunity: Account Executive

GuidePoint Security provides trusted cybersecurity expertise, solutions, and services that help organizations make better decisions and minimize risk. Through a holistic, three-tiered approach, GuidePoint enables top organizations, including Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies, to identify threats, optimize resources, and implement solutions to mitigate risk.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Consistently meet sales and profitability goals.
  2. Position, configure, and quote product and service solutions to clients.
  3. Participate in industry organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, etc.
  4. Manage leads and opportunities using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  5. Report sales forecasts and opportunity funnels accurately and consistently.
  6. Create, edit, and close service proposals.
  7. Work with vendors to understand and position their technologies and value propositions.
  8. Participate in field marketing activities to generate interest and provide information to prospects, including driving attendance at events.
  9. Represent GuidePoint Security to clients and articulate our areas of expertise.
  10. Set proper expectations and maintain open communication throughout the sales process.
  11. Leverage supporting resources effectively with teamwork and cooperation.
  12. Develop and deliver sales presentations to large groups and executive clients.
Position Requirements:
  1. Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience in the IT space, preferably in Information Security.
  2. Experience in enterprise security is preferred.
  3. Established relationships with key accounts in the territory are required.
  4. Experience with Salesforce.com is necessary.
  5. Strong group presentation skills are essential.
  6. Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and generating leads.
  7. Ability to generate leads and open new accounts.
  8. Experience selling professional services, security audits, and assessments is a plus.
  9. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  10. Network security vendor-related certifications are highly preferred.
