Position: Account Executive for SLED Northeast

The ideal candidate will proactively network, cold call, and sell to multiple contacts within organizations, including 'C' level executives. This role involves managing and developing customer relationships through a consultative sales approach, aiming to deliver high-level account management services. The Account Executive should understand client goals and concerns, and be knowledgeable about the technology partners and products that can meet their needs. This position is virtual/remote with regional travel required.

Key Details

This is the first SLED hire for the Northeast, focusing on State, Local, and Education sectors.

Responsibilities:
  1. Consistently meet sales and profitability goals.
  2. Configure and quote product and service solutions to clients.
  3. Participate in industry organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, etc.
  4. Manage leads and opportunities using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  5. Report sales forecasts and opportunity funnels accurately.
  6. Create, edit, and close service proposals.
  7. Work with vendors to understand and position their technologies and value propositions.
  8. Participate in field marketing to generate interest and inform potential clients, including driving attendance at events.
  9. Represent GuidePoint Security to clients and articulate our areas of expertise.
  10. Set proper expectations and maintain open communication throughout the sales process.
  11. Leverage supporting resources effectively and work as part of a team.
  12. Develop and deliver sales presentations to large groups and executive clients.
Position Requirements:
  1. Minimum 5 years of outside SLED sales experience in the IT space, preferably in Information Security.
  2. Experience with enterprise security solutions preferred.
  3. Strong relationships with key SLED accounts in the territory required.
  4. Experience with Salesforce.com required.
  5. Excellent group presentation skills.
  6. Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and generating leads.
  7. Ability to generate leads and open new accounts.
  8. Experience selling professional services, security audits, and assessments is a plus.
  9. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  10. Network security vendor certifications strongly preferred.
